Weekend At Palisades!!

Daniel and I had an absolutely wonderful weekend!! The 18th (Friday) my sister in law picked up me and Daniel and then we went and picked up my brother in law, Tony, and went and met my in-laws and Tony's parents out at Palisades State Park.  We had picked up dinner on the way, when we got there we just visited and let the kids run around before putting them to bed. After they were down, the five of us played some games of Peanuts Uno, really fun game!! It was a relief for me that Daniel slept well the whole time! He did wake up pretty early this morning, so to keep the noise level down we went for a walk and Daniel saw a "kitty" which was really a skunk (I made him keep his distance).  Saturday was fun!  We got up and we took the kids on the paddle boat, (Daniel didn't last very long), so we dropped Daniel and I off at a dock and we walked back around to the campground. After lunch I think, Daniel got to stay behind with Nana and Papa while me, Tony, Anni, Elizabeth, and Devin went and played in the water some more. I went again a third time with just me, Anni, and Elizabeth, while Daniel stayed behind and played with Nana in the motorhome. It was lots of fun playing in the water!  Then we went back, had a wonderful dutch oven dinner, let the kids make s'mores over the "fire" and after putting the kids to bed, visited some more, played a fun game, and had delicious cobbler!  Sunday after our fun walk, we had breakfast, the kids just played and we visited until, sadly, it was time to have lunch, pack our stuff back up into the van, and come home. It was great little getaway that I was very much in need of!
