Memorial Day Weekend

Friday, I got off early (yay for summer hours at work!!) and picked up Daniel. We started our long weekend off with dinner, he first requested to go to Iggys?? really kiddo? but as we were driving there, he saw McDonald's and changed his mind. I was more than happy to change and let him have dinner and play at the play place for awhile.

We started Saturday morning off with breakfast at Ihop!  He is coloring on the end of a roll of receipt tape that our server gave him!

Cupcake pancake, can we say sugar overload?

After breakfast we went up to Melinda's house and the kiddos had fun playing outside pretty much the rest of the day with water squirters (they gave Daniel one for his birthday!) and paint too!

Playing outside

So much fun with the water squirters! The boys liked making it "rain"on each other!

We had lunch and dinner with them, then came home and Daniel decided he wanted to try and ride his scooter so went for a small walk. Daniel right now rides it for all of 30 seconds then decides walking is easier...this will be our project this summer. Hopefully he will learn to enjoy it!

Sunday afternoonish we went to my niece's baby blessing, then in the evening we went to my extended families "birthday dinners" Daniel had fun playing on the trampoline and swing my aunt has!

Monday morning we went with Eric's aunt Susan and put flowers at Eric's grave. Then she kindly took us to lunch at the Pizza Pie Cafe.

Lunch time! Love my goofy boy!!

After lunch we came home and Daniel had some quiet time with his kindle, then we drove up to Layton and went to the aquarium which was lots of fun! Daniel was really into the lizards this go round.

We ended our fun long weekend going to dinner with my sisters and parents at Texas Road House. This summer should be pretty fun..... for Daniel at least! His daycare does a "summer program" which is 3 months packed of activities like going to movies, the zoo, wheeler farm, water days, splash pads, etc.  He's pretty excited for it!
